Personality:

Of all of the infamous Pokédex holders, particularly of those from Kanto, Green is one of the more serious and intelligent kids. He is able to keep his cool, and strategize in the midst of battle as much as he does before it. Typically, he has a very aloof and impartial personality, keeping his distance from emotional attachments. This is even true of his friends and his Pokémon, even if some friends (like Red) slowly become some of his most important companions. He's a functional loner, enjoying the time to himself and not worrying about being alone, surprisingly quite introverted compared to a vast majority of the Pokédex holders.

However, that is not to say that he is always calm and collected. Unlike Crystal, the other character renowned for her serious demeanor, Green is actually quite impatient and even a bit hotheaded. He acts cool, and the public perception of him is definitely that of a "cool guy", but anyone that spends time with him will find that he can actually be incredibly frustrating to deal with. He's arrogant. It is not that he thinks to highly of himself, or that he is narcissistic, but that he doesn't think highly of others by default. He'll be cocky and mock those he thinks are beneath him, particularly if they act tough. Though he's grown and learned to be more polite about it, he still typically does not respect strangers and can get touchy if they're particularly persistent.

When he's threatened, Green's strength compared to many of his fellow dex holders is that he is able to maintain composure. Even when frustrated and angry, he never loses focus, and finds a new approach. From his childhood training, he learned to get himself involved in Pokémon battles, and to train himself just as much as his Pokémon. This is seen quite a few times where he puts himself in harm's way in order to find the solution to the battle (cite: yellow saga vs. Agatha, GSC saga vs. Hitmontop). He's very attuned to his surroundings, and has honed his senses as well as his composure to perfectly suit battle. This strongly contrasts him as a character from other schemers like Blue, as he is the one who is able to come up with plans in the middle of battle, gets actively involved in them regularly, and is very quick-thinking in terms of strategy. Whereas Blue will make her plan in advance, Green will observe the situation and react appropriately, getting himself neck-deep in the chaos. He's surprisingly flexible in adapting to a battle scenario, as he is quite fine with allying with Koga in order to fight Agatha (and this is also how he befriended Red - joining forces with him whether he wanted to or simply had no choice).

Though he is not obsessively one, Green can be considered somewhat of a perfectionist. He doesn't set the standard to completion, but he does train very meticulously, paying very close mind to every aspect of training that he can conceive of. He does switch it up fairly often, catching plenty of Pokémon and raising quite a few of them. He has trained two full teams into their upper 80s, and trained them so well that he can leave them behind at the gym to accept challenges without him there. His talents are not to be taken lightly, after all, as he is quite capable of honing the strength of his Pokémon. This also applies to the friends of his that he works with in training - both Yellow and Red become significantly better battlers after training against him, as Green is a very skilled if stern teacher.

But for those who get to know Green as a friend or even an ally, he's more than his usual aloof, impatient self. He respects people and is not why about giving praise to those he thinks have earned his respect. He doesn't mince words, for better or worse, but he means to help his friends instead of mock them or scorn them. He's not particularly long-winded, but he's not awkward at articulating himself. He's simply quieter and more impartial. His greatest loyalties lie in his family and his hometown, and most of his motivations are based in protecting those from destruction or corruption. It's rare for him to find a friend he's willing to extend that loyalty to, but Red is one of the few he holds so close.

He can be awkward in certain situations, as he has a very hard time handling women in general. But rather than try and forcefully confront the situation, he simply avoids girls, working with Blue only when she's acting as a trainer and a part of the team. Otherwise, they just confuse or irritate him, and he avoids them altogether. He's not necessarily distrustful of them, nor of other people, but he does prefer to do things on his own and without interference from others. As he grew older, he matured, and became much more willing to work with his friends actively to get things done. While Red was typically the head of the charge, Green was still able to act as the tactical leader, orchestrating Red's victory on Sevii Islands as the battle reached a fever pitch.

History: Peeta Mellark was the baker's son, which makes him one of the wealthier people in District 12, which is the coal mining district, being of the

merchant class. He does not live in "The Seam" like fellow District 12 tribute Katniss Everdeen, but in the center of town above the family bakery Peeta's childhood

wasn't the best such as even though he grew up in the merchant area the only food his family could afford was only the stale items that no one bought. His father was

kind but his mother however would beat Peeta and his two brothers if they messed up or just did something she disliked. When he was chosen as the male tribute of the

74th Hunger Games his mother didn't place any faith in him. Since the age of five Peeta has been crushing on Katniss Everdeen after she was pointed out by his father

and told the story how he had wanted to marry Katniss' mother but she chose a coal miner. Peeta had then replied, "A coal miner? Why did she want a coal miner when she

could have had you?" His father answered, "Because when he sings... even the birds stop to listen." Later when she was asked to sing the birds stopped and listened for

her as well and Peeta feel for her then. Peeta and Katniss run into each other one day when she was trying to feed her sister and was caught by Peeta's mother

scrounging. Peeta then burnt two loaves of bread on purpose and gave them to her. He was beaten by his mother for burning the bread. This act of kindness gives Katniss

the will to survive. Peeta and Katniss don't actually talk until the 74th Hunger Games. Peeta's favorite color is orange but not a bright orange but like that of a

sunset.

Peeta's name is drawn as the male tribute for District 12. Once reaped he goes to the Justice Building where his family comes to visit. Whereas his father is upset

about him going, his mother simply states District 12 might just have a victor, she however speaks about Katniss being that victor. Peeta along with Katniss leave

their district on a train accompanied by Effie Trinket. He becomes angered by the apparent lack of interest in him and Katniss by their mentor Haymitch Abernathy.

After a lackluster bit of advice "stay alive" there is a confrontation and after Haymitch is impressed. He makes a deal, he'll help them if they don't interfere with

his drinking. During his private session with the Gamemakers he receives a score of 8 after just throwing some things around. He also is very good with camouflage

which comes in handy for him later. Peeta reveals in his interview he was in love with a girl, and tells everyone him winning won't win her over. The reason given was

that she came with him. The night before the Games, Peeta and Katniss talk on the rooftop and Peeta explains that he wants to die as himself and wants to show the

Capitol that he is more than just a piece in their games.

Haymitch tells them to run right away and find a body of water. Something Peeta does right away even distracting Katniss from running straight into a bloodbath for bow

and arrows she sees. Peeta however has another strategy. He pretends to work with the Careers at the start of the games but this is to ensure Katniss survives as he

didn't think he'd survive himself. He works with the careers who keep him around for a bit because he is handy with a blade even to the point he kills another tribute

telling the others they are wasting time. After a firestorm the careers are alive but injured making them slower. When they and Peeta find Katniss in a tree he

suggests they make camp under it, simply to be surprised in the morning with the careers by a tracker jacker hive dropped down onto them. Catching Katniss at the scene

taking the bow and arrows from the body of a tribute named Glimmer, he tells her to run. Cato, one of the lead career tributes, sees this and cuts Peeta's upper leg.

He hides using his skills in camouflage using mud and dirt to hide himself. Once it is announced that if the last two tributes standing are from the same district,

they can both win. A feast is announced where a bag containing something that each remaining tribute desperately needs will be placed at the Cornucopia. He doesn't

want Katniss to die because of him, and Haymitch sends sleep syrup which she gives Peeta. He is hurt by her trickery, but does make a recovery after she returns with

the medicine and gives it to him. His recovery comes at a good time as he is able to take care of Katniss who was injured at the feast. After the water is drained

causing a showdown between Peeta and Katniss and Cato, muttations attack and Cato is sent down falling into them. After Cato returns bloody and hurt requesting a mercy

killing, Peeta watches Katniss shoot the tribute in the head. Peeta along with Katniss are crowned victors after threatening to eat poisoned Nightlock berries when

they are told the previously announced rule was retracted. Their show of love ends up with them crowning both because there must be a winner. Peeta finds out that

Katniss was partially pretending to be in love with him, and he becomes heartbroken.

Though heartbroken Peeta doesn't shatter their image as star-crossed lovers and performs for the cameras when needed. Peeta and Katniss go on tour for the Victory Tour

starting in District 11, while on the train Peeta calms Katniss down who lost her temper with Effie. As much as it hurts she lied to him about her feelings he says

they should remain friends. Peeta is often there nightly to comfort Katniss through her dreams by holding her at night. Peeta shows his heart by offering a part of his winnings each month to Rue's and Thresh's families in District 11 which is against the rules and hence has never been done before. A four tone whistle that is the same as Rue's sounds out and later as they leave Peeta is shocked as he sees the man who whistled out first executed by gunshot to the head. He learns once again he has been lied to again by Katniss and Haymitch by not being told that President Snow didn't believe their act of love, and now thinks he has put Rue's and Thresh's families in danger. During an interview to step up their image Peeta proposes to Katniss, but Katniss is told it's not good enough. She tries to get everyone to run away with her but the plan falls through when Gale is captured while hunting.

The world in which Sabriel lives is divided into two great and promising lands separated by The Wall, a construction ancient and magical in nature that splits the lands in more ways than one.
The land of the south is called Ancelstierre; a place similar to Earth’s England in that it corresponds with the achievements and development up to the year 1916 and is a place of technology and science that concerns itself very little with what lies on the other side of The Wall. In fact the further south you go from The Wall, the less and less they understand the fear that is associated with the north, disregarding any reports of magic or even those of the walking dead. The people that live closer to The Wall however have reason to fear and feel uneasy about the strange land; once close to The Wall all technology fails, whether it is a car engine, a telephone line, or a machine gun. Sometimes when the wind from the north blows over The Wall this strange phenomenon is extended deeper inland. The problem this proves is that sometimes, other things creep over the wall, things worse than a chill wind.

The land to the north is The Old Kingdom, a place rife with Charter Magic, a type of pure magic manipulated through marks and musical notes, and Free Magic, the tool of necromancers and the various dead beings that refuse to die and roam the land instead. Technology and reason from Ancelstierre is useless here as the place runs on its own time and weather separate to the land to the south. In place of modern weaponry, The Old Kingdom is full of the Charter, a holy magic that can protect, attack, heal and enchant. Opposing the Charter is Free Magic, a force of raw power and chaos used by the evil creatures that stalk the land and the necromancers who seek to use the Dead for their own means. Only people baptised by the Charter are able to use either of the two types of magic. The use of Necromancy however is a two edged sword; while the user gains power over the dead to use as their servants, known as the Lesser Dead, the Charter within themselves gets corrupted, slowly corroding away at their souls as they descend further into evil until they abandon life and become beings of the Greater Dead. As a Dead Adept, they are able to consume life to grow even stronger. The only being that is immune to this corruption of the Charter is the Abhorsen; a bloodline that combines the magic of The Charter and the Necromancer that works to bind and return the dead into Death rather than raise them.

At the start of the story when Sabriel was born she died shortly after she was born but her father, the Abhorsen, retrieved her soul from the hands of one of the Greater Dead, a being named Kerrigor, before it could pass through the first Gate of Death and revived her; her mother however could not be saved. Sabriel and her father accompanied a band of Travellers around the Old Kingdom, allowing the Abhorsen to fulfill his duties in handling the Dead while raising his daughter up until she was five years of age. He sent Sabriel to a boarding school in Ancelstierre, Waverly College, where she was to be properly educated to be a proper young woman as well as, due to the fact that the school was so close to The Wall and the extension of The Charter that coursed through it, a Charter Mage.

Growing up in the college placed too much distance for Sabriel and her Father to meet more than twice a year physically, however during the dark of the new moon her Father was able to send a projection of his spirit to her by travelling through Death to her location. It’s during these meetings that Sabriel learned the ways of the Necromancer and more importantly, the duties of the Abhorsen; memorizing The Book of The Dead and familiarizing herself with the Abhorsen’s sword, and the Necromancer’s bells. Sabriel was twelve when she first walked through Death, at fourteen she banished a mid-ranking Lesser Dead and at sixteen she defeated a weakened Mordicant, the strongest and most dangerous of the revived Lesser Dead.

Sabriel is eighteen, weeks away from graduating from Waverly College when instead of meeting her Father in the dark of the moon she meets his servant, who presents her the Abhorsen’s sword and her Father’s bells, a delivery that can on only bode ill; her Father is either dead or trapped in Death. Wasting no time in idle thought, Sabriel jumps at the call of duty to find her Father, as well as the excitement of returning to the Old Kingdom in an adventure all her own.

Upon first crossing the Wall and travelling to meet the guide that will point her in the direction of Abhorsen’s house, Sabriel faces a dead revenant when she stops at the broken Charter Stone at Cloven Crest. With the guide’s direction, an ominous threat from the dead creature and a warning from her guide, Sabriel makes haste to reach the path that will lead her to safety. When she climbs the Long Cliffs that will lead her to the path to the house she discovers that she is being tracked by a fully-fledged Mordicant; it is all she can do to run from the beast, eventually fleeing to the safety of Abhorsen’s house nestled on an island in the middle of the strongly flowing Ratterlin River.

While at the house Sabriel meets a white cat named Mogget, a bound Free Magic being and the servant of the Abhorsen at the house who proclaims her to be the new Abhorsen, much to her discomfort, as well as informs her of the Old Kingdom’s decline; the Royal Family long dead, no Regeant in 20 years and the Dead running rampant all throughout the land. When it comes to Sabriel’s attention that the escape routes from the house are blocked by the Moridcant and its servants, both living and Dead, she calls upon the Clayr to send a flood down the Ratterlin river to wash away the bridge her enemies were attempting to build. With the side exits blocked, Sabriel and Mogget escape from the house with a Paperwing, an aircraft made of laminated paper which flies using a spelled wind. However, in their flight they are attacked by a flock of Gore crows that tear the Paperwing to tatters and Sabriel is left with no choice but to remove Mogget’s collar and free him so they might survive the crash.

When she awakes from the crash in Holehollow, Sabriel finds Mogget to be hell bent on her death but she manages to bind him anew with the ring he had given to her upon their first meeting. Exploring the area, Sabriel discovers they have landed in the burial grounds for the Royal Family of the Old Kingdom, who had been dead for two hundred years. However she comes across the preserved body and spirit of a man imprisoned in one of the tombs; she frees him and the man, Touchstone, joins them on their quest. Mogget and Touchstone appear to recognize each other but the man claims to be unable to remember much of his past.

Travelling onwards from Holehollow the company reaches Nestowe, a fishing village devastated by Dead with the living survivors seeking shelter on a small island separate from the mainland by the ocean. After gaining the settlement’s trust and banishing a Mordaut, a parasitic Dead creature living off of one of the inhabitants, they leave the village in a boat to head to Belisaere, the capital of the Old Kingdom where the Royal Palace is located.

While travelling over the water, Sabriel finally learns the truth to Touchstone’s past; how he was present when the royal family died and who exactly was behind her father’s disappearance and was threatening them. Rogir, now Kerrigor, the son of the Queen who had become a Dead Adept and slaughtered his two sisters to break the Great Charter Stones in the Royal Palace reservoir, and soon after slit his own mother’s throat. Touchstone had been saved by the Abhorsen of that time who had been accompanied by Mogget but the damage had been done.

Sneaking successfully into the city, Sabriel and co find it surprisingly alive thanks to the aqueduct system preventing any Dead from trespassing; however, it does nothing to keep the living who are in league with the Dead out. After staying for a night in the city to prepare, Sabriel and Touchstone head down to the reservoir of the Royal Palace, passing a group of Scavengers heading out into the Dead infested areas of town along the way. In the reservoir the twisted Charter magic from the broken stones affects them all strongly but it’s at the heart of the great room that they find Abhorsen’s body frozen in a diamond of protection. Casting another protective diamond around them all, Sabriel enters Death to find her father.

In Death, Sabriel traverses through the first four Precincts and finds her Father frozen at the precipice of the Fourth Gate. She frees him by wielding two bells and the two of them rush back towards life. Sabriel learns from him who Touchstone really is, the last living descendant of the Royal bloodline, as well as where she must go once they leave the reservoir. However, Abhorsen had stayed in Death for too long, his spirit too drained to be able to live much longer in Life. In Life, Touchstone can only watch in horror as the reservoir fills with all manners of the Dead until finally Kerrigor appears, eager to use his half-brother’s blood as well as that of both Abhorsens to break three more of the five Great Charter Stones.

At that point Sabriel and her Father return to Life. Sabriel grabs Touchstone and runs from the reservoir with him, leaving her Father and an unbound Mogget to face the army of Dead. They manage to get halfway out before the bell Sabriel had left with Abhorsen, Astarael, starts to ring and call all who hear it deep into Death. Holding onto Life, Sabriel kisses Touchstone to keep him grounded and stop him from dying, the two of them surviving the call of Astarael while the rest of the Dead, and her Father, slip into Death.

Having been told that a key piece of information for defeating Kerrigor once and for all was waiting for the two of them in the grounds of the Royal Palace from the Clayr, Sabriel and Touchstone make haste to the appointed yard but they are ambushed by the Scavengers. While running from the group, Sabriel is severely injured by a crossbow bolt which sends Touchstone into a berserker rage, leading to the death of her attacker and the two of them outstripping their assailants as he carries her to where the Clayr stand waiting for them.

Personality:
Despite how minor of a character Peony is, he is rather unique and well-rounded. More than anything else, he is easygoing and kind, with a patient streak a mile wide. He is young but quite capable, and he is the emperor of the Malkuth empire, well-loved by his people. Peony is a pacifist and desires peace above all else, and as such, he is constantly striving to end the war and forge peace treaties with Malkuth's enemy nation, Kimlasca. Throughout Abyss's canon, the main characters seek out Peony several times in their attempts to halt war and save townspeople, and each time Peony is more than eager to help. His father, the previous emperor, pushed for war against Kimlasca -- at odds with his father's beliefs, Peony worked almost tirelessly to improve Kimlascan-Malkuth relations, promoting peace treaties and seeking ways to end the war, essentially working to repair the damage his father caused. Of course, he's never unrealistic in seeking his goals, and due to political strain there are times when he has no choice but to go to war against Kimlasca, despite his wishes. However he is a very compassionate and sympathetic soul. He loves his people above all else, and will do everything in his power to keep them safe and help Malkuth to thrive.

However, that's not to say that Peony is reckless. Oh certainly he comes off as somewhat flippant at times, and does not at all come off as the responsible sort, but when it comes to graver matters Peony is quick to abandon his silliness in favor of seriousness. Still, he loves to play games and flirt with girls, to build casinos and socialize and chase skirts, painting him one of the most unorthodox monarchs in all of fiction. Despite his position as emperor, Peony is very informal, and he speaks with his subjects and subordinates just as he speaks with his close friends, avoiding stuffy language and flowery words. His easiness and casual speech tends to confuse and alarm those who speak with him, considering how most royals and nobles behave, and at first many people don't know how to address him.

Despite this lackadaisical attitude, Peony still knows when to knuckle down and get the job done. Though others sometimes condemn him for the .. unusual way in which he rules, Peony does recognize when it's time to to drop the games and play the monarch. Obviously he would much rather spend his time traveling the world and experiencing new things ( almost to the point that Jade, and his advisors, have a difficult time keeping him in Malkuth ), but that doesn't make him any less a skilled politician. He knows how to speak to people, how to resolve political problems as quickly as possible, how to schmooze and charm and make the difficult decisions with grace. He's very likable and charismatic, which is why he is well loved by his subjects and associates alike. Even Jade, one of the strangest, most enigmatic (and antisocial) characters in the game, counts Peony among his closest friends, if not his best friend. Peony began his training very young, and though he didn't take very well to schooling, he nonetheless possessed a keen intelligence and sharp wit. Don't let his easy smile and silly demeanor fool you; behind those mischievous eyes hides a quick mind, and Peony is much more knowledgeable and astute than others are generally willing to give him credit for, even if he doesn't always see fit to employ it. Still, he works well under pressure, he's dependable, and will always pull through with his part in the end.

Above all else, Peony is loyal. When he grows close to someone, he will stand by them forever, despite whatever may attempts to come between them. His best friend is a man named Jade Curtiss, and there is no one in Abyss's canon more difficult to understand than Jade; no other character in the game is able to really connect with or understand Jade, but Peony has no problem tolerating him and comprehending him on an incredibly deep level, though that may be due in part to the fact that they are childhood friends. Peony is not very quick to judge people by their faults, and once you have won his heart, it is almost certain that he will stand by you forever. Even his pets ( several animals called 'rappigs' a sort of pig-rabbit hybrid ) are precious to him, and he treats them about as well as he treats his human companions, if not better, in some cases.

An example of his unmitigated loyalty comes into canon in the form of Peony's first and only love, Nephry Balfour/Osborne, Jade's younger sister. They were childhood friends, and Peony fell in love with her as they grew together. However, considering Peony's status, and a prophecy foretold by the Score ( a sort of religiously-based prediction network of sorts ), they were unable to marry. Despite this, Peony refused to marry any other, and he kept his heart locked up for her, possibly in hopes that some day she may change her mind. However, when The Score foretold that Nephry would marry Viscount Osborne, their doomed affair came to an end. Though she said ( in the Peony manga gaiden that was released ) that she didn't want to marry any other but him, Nephry was a devout follower of the Score, and she had no choice but to marry the Viscount. And yet, after over a decade, Peony is still loyal to her, and still unmarried; his heart and will are unwavering. Of course he still appreciates lovely ladies, and he never dropped his flirtatious charm, but he has forged no new relationships since Nephry.

So overall, Peony is kind, easy-going, charming, fun-loving and fiercely loyal. His compassion and silliness make him a fun guy to be around, and his charisma wins him friends very easily, but he is certainly not afraid of expressing his opinion when the need arises. It is difficult to anger him, but certainly not impossible, and when he sets his mind on something, he does not let it go.

Strengths:
Physical: Peony is a man of average strength, and he is skilled in martial arts, but he has no superhuman powers to speak of. Certainly he is capable of self defense, but if he's up against, you know, a Titan or something he's going to turn tail and run.

Mental/emotional: His loyalty and steadfastness are Peony's soundest mental strengths. He'll stand by those he loves despite anything, regardless of that person's actions or decisions, and nothing that anyone can say will change his mind. He's also an incredibly successful politician, an emperor at that, so he is not a man of fragile mind; it takes a good deal of smarts, wit, charm, and patience to successfully govern a nation as large as Malkuth, and Peony does a stellar job of it. He can be goofy and silly, but he's deeply mature when he needs to be, and incredibly caring. Also, as an emperor, he's had to have the mental and emotional strength to make difficult decisions, and he will not shy away from personal responsibility.

Weaknesses:
Physical: Well, he's no superhero, that's for sure. He's quick and strong, and he's not a small guy, but he's of average human strength. He's not even a fonist, man, no fancy spells for him.

Mental/emotional: Peony can have this tendency to .. tunnel vision, on things. If something is consuming his thoughts, it can be very difficult and frustrating to keep him on track. Nephry is a good example of this. Even after so many years, even after she has married another man he refuses to accept a bride, even though the throne needs an heir. It's really his one act of selfishness, a case in which he does not put the importance of the empire before his own desires, and it's generally a touchy subject that he tries to avoid.

He's also ridiculously disorganized and kind of makes a mess of things, though this could count as a physical weakness as well.

Okay, so let me get this straight.

This place is called Luceti, we're trapped here by a mysterious and maniacal group called the Malnosso, and we won't be sent home until Who Knows When. Oh, and these cute little wings are useless.

That's a shame; they're pretty cool! Oh, right, right - and if we lose them, we die. Pretty melodramatic, don't you think? This is all pretty weird. Do people generally take all of this at face value? It's a little unbelievable if you ask me, and I have this funny feeling that I'm going to wake up at any moment, snug and comfortable in my own bed, and think to myself Wow, what a bizarre dream!

No dice, huh? Well, as nice as a vacation sounds, I hate to say it but I don't really have the time for it. You understand - places to go, people to meet. ~~Countries to run.~~ So if anyone could direct me to the door, I'd be pretty grateful.

Third Person:

Growing accustomed to life in Luceti wasn't quite as difficult as he had expected it to be. Peony had fallen into life here rather easily. Too easily. Oh, of course he loved Malkuth, he loved it with his whole heart and always would, but he had never wanted to rule, had never wanted to be an emperor. It was so much responsibility, so much time, so much trouble and heartache and difficulty. All he had wanted was to grow up in Keterburg, to pal around with Jade, poke fun at Saphir, and .. well, what he'd wanted of Nephry had always been obvious.

But no, he had fallen into the rule just as the Score had predicted, and he had done well. His sense of duty and his love of Malkuth had driven him to be the best emperor that he could possibly be, and he had made mistakes, but he knew that he always did the best that he could by his country.

.. but he had never wanted it. If someone equally capable had asked him to step down, if a long lost brother had resurfaced and come along to reclaim his throne, Peony had to admit that he would have been tempted to give it up without thought. It was lonely, difficult, and bittersweet, sitting that throne, though he had grown so accustomed to it by now that it had become as natural as breathing. He didn't know any other way, any other life.

But now? Here? Here, in Luceti, where he had all of his friends, where he had Jade and Saphir and the Professor, and even .. even Nephry..

Well, he had to admit to himself that he really didn't want to go back. Funny experiments and kidnappings aside, this was the life that he had always wanted, and he was hesitant to give it up, though God it made him feel guilty, and this was an opinion that he was more than happy to keep to himself. Peony sighed, his breath frosting in the chilly February air, and turned his blue eyes skyward. Spring was on the horizon, and the plaza was bustling with people today, but Peony's thoughts had strayed. He shouldn't be thinking about this, not right now. He came out here for a reason, after all! There wasn't much of winter left, and Peony intended to enjoy it to its fullest before spring and summer rolled in.
