You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

First Person:

Gotta say, I didn’t expect the afterlife to be so…stereotypical. Didn’t really expect it to be so cold either, but it’s not like I’ve got room to complain. Couldn’t have woken up with a shirt or shoes, huh? [ No, of course not. That would be too easy. ]

Well anyway, from what I’m able to tell, this thing is used for communication, right? Which means unless I’m using it wrong, someone out there can hear me. So, mind telling me where a guy can get some shoes? A jacket would be great, too, but right now I’m more worried about frostbite. [ There's a dry laugh. ] Not that that matters much, with me being dead and all.

So, what do say? Wanna help a guy out?

Third Person:

He was dead, of that he was certain. There was no way he was alive, after all—and the wings on his back only seemed to prove this fact. However, waking up in the snow, with an ache in his back wasn’t something he’d been expecting. After all, he’d always thought the afterlife would be…more peaceful. Instead, he was freezing, shirtless, and had a lingering feeling of discomfort where his wounds had once been. What a pain.

Sitting up, he looks around, examining the place he now found himself with interest. He supposes he should be more upset, having just died…but there wasn’t much he could do about it. Getting upset would accomplish nothing, after all. Besides, he had faith in his team. They would be alright without him around. He shivers, remembering the cold. He should find shelter, or civilization, or whatever the hell else could be found in the land of the dead. The problem was, his surroundings were unfamiliar—which, given the situation, wasn’t much of a surprise—and there didn’t seem to be anyone else near him, either.

He was just in a forest; lost, alone, and cold.

It’s then he notices the book lying next to him and upon opening it, he discovers one of the strangest things he’s had yet to encounter: It was…a communication device of some kind. Which was strange, considering it was a book, but hey, as weird as it was, he wasn’t about to complain. He needs some directions right about now anyway.

So he takes to fiddling with it, monkeying with the different functions until he gets the gist of using it. It wasn’t too hard to understand, he just hopes there’s someone helpful at the other end. Because seriously, he doesn’t want to stay in the cold longer than he has to.
