A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. History:

Yamame Kurodani is a tsuchi-gumo, a spider youkai with powers of deception and plague. Because of her horrible powers, she and many other especially feared youkai were banished and sealed away in the underworld that was Hell at the time, where they settled to create the Ancient City of the hated youkai and lived in relative peace for many centuries (as peaceful as it can get when the city is full of fight-happy oni, anyway). For the next several centuries, Yamame lived in the Ancient City with the other hated youkai, and learned about parties and fighting and liquor and the ways of civilized creatures from them. When it got cold in the Ancient City and it was hard to find parties to warm herself at, Yamame migrated to the areas of the Underworld closer to the surface lands of Gensokyo so she could stay warm, and became familiar with the youkai stationed there to prevent escape or intrusion.

It was while she was in this area, not very long ago, that Yamame encountered two strange human girls, who were entering the Underworld in search of the source of a mysterious geyser. These girls attempted to bully Yamame, but she only fought with them a little bit before giving them directions to the Ancient City, where the oni Yuugi gave them more help.

And that was that, at least for the while.

Even more recently, two more intruders from Gensokyo's surface arrived, a couple of tengu who had been inspired by the tales of the human girls and were now competing to write stories about the forgotten youkai of Ancient Hell, among others. To these, Yamame gave a trickier fight along with their pictures and interviews, to remind them of why the hated youkai had been sealed away.

For the most part, however, Yamame has been content with her place in the Underworld, and not pestered the youkai or humans of Gensokyo's surface any unless they came to her for a battle.

Personality:

Unlike many youkai in Gensokyo, and vastly different from the common perception of spiders, Yamame Kurodani is a friendly, cheerful, sociable youkai and quite fond of humans. She doesn't seem to mind that she was exiled to the underworld for her terrible powers of disease. She never uses her powers to inflict disease without cause, and if forced to do so will favor diseases that bother someone only for a few days and have no lingering effects, rather than life-threatening diseases. She often takes a form as nearly human as possible to avoid frightening others, though her fashion tastes in her human-like form tend to resemble the appearance of her spider shape.

Yamame likes spellcard battles for many reasons. One is that fighting is fun for youkai, and she's very fond of having fun. Another is that it provides her an easy way to show others, especially humans, that even though she's a spider youkai, she doesn't mean them any harm, since the spellcard battle rules prevent lasting harm to either party. Thirdly, each spellcard is typically designed by its user and can reflect their interests and powers, so spellcard battles can be a good opportunity to learn about one another.

Yamame enjoys parties as an opportunity to and meet new people, and spellcard battles as a way of getting to know them. If she is aware of a party or a festival, she is likely to invite herself and anyone or everyone she meets, and possibly doesn't realize that this mightn't be polite, or if she does know she doesn't really care. This probably reflects her social life in the Ancient City of former Hell, which is largely inhabited by party-loving, rude, roughhousing oni.

Attending parties is also a good way to stay out of the cold. As a spider, Yamame is terribly susceptible to cold and will do anything she can to avoid being out in cold weather, including traveling to warmer areas as quickly as possible, finding a party to crash, or inviting herself into someone's home (or just hiding in their walls, in true spider fashion) and using her powers to make them sick enough to keep the house warm. Being a youkai, she doesn't realize this is a mean thing to do, or just doesn't care.

Personality:

The mulish bad looks aren't just for show: Zoro is as stubborn as they come. Though initially introduced as a loner, he has grown into an older brother/mentor figure for some people; his ex-traveling companions, Johnny and Yosaku, look up to him, and he is the moral standard for some of the younger members of the Straw Hat crew. While a strong leader in his own right, he doesn't hesitate to follow Luffy's decisions despite whatever personal objections he might have to them. If Luffy asks it of him, you can be sure Zoro will do his damnedest to deliver. (ex. Luffy told him to save Smoker, the Marine trying to arrest them. Though Zoro insisted that they should just leave him to die, he still saved him. When asked why he did it he replied: "It was captain's orders.") This, however, doesn't mean that Zoro is the type to blindly follow directions. His has a very finely honed sense of reason; he's loyal, but never to a fault. While this serves to enhance the more serious aspects of his personality, it also means that Zoro doesn't hesitate to play the bad guy or to point out hard truths others would be less willing to admit. When he argues something, it's often straightforward and driven by logic.

Related to this is his strict sense of honor. Zoro embodies the spirit and values of a true samurai, believing in honor and never reneging on something he already vowed to do. He takes promises seriously, very seriously, to the point where he would rather die than face the shame of failure. This makes his "the way is clear" mentality even sharper than Luffy's at times (somewhat spoilery example: his attitude towards Usopp leaving the crew; he loves Usopp but when a decision is sealed with blood it should never be reversed.)

There is a duality in the way Zoro tackles the world. Equal parts insane but realistic, reserved but outspoken, stupid but perceptive, Zoro's eyes are adjusted to see things as they are; it's exactly this kind of clarity that distances him from people. He doesn't trust as readily as some of the other Straw Hats and is apathetic and unemotional even during the most trying situations. Even when he is relieved, he never lets up his stern and serious demeanor.

His intense nature has given him a demonic reputation, but he's really a good guy underneath it all. Like the rest of the Mugiwara Pirates, Zoro is very compassionate. Though one of the crew members who least shows it, he's good-natured enough to help random, injured men on the street, or to eat a little girl's food offering to make her feel better no matter how inedible it is. He often grumbles, complains, or even outright curses the people who make him go through the motions of being a 'nice guy' but as he's "never done anything [he] regretted", Zoro probably doesn't mean any of it. Even under duress, he makes time to help people out, even when he himself is in a similar or (as is frequently becoming the case in canon) worse situation. Combined with his calm, tempered nature, Zoro has a very deep and passionate side to him. It's this side that drives him ever forward and allows him to bond deeply with his nakama.

But being nice doesn't mean it always shows. Zoro would prefer to intimidate than to cajole and appears to take an almost childish delight in his fearsome reputation, especially lording it over his sometimes-rival Sanji. He has a distinct concept of what is "cool" and likes to shape himself around his own personal conclusions. He shows his youth in his fiery temper, to be expounded on in later parts.

Zoro is one of the most dangerous pirates in the One Piece universe. Unafraid to get his hands dirty, Zoro has an infinitely primal side that has been noted in his strong killer intent. He is one of the least merciful of the Straw Hats, at least as far as fighting is concerned. Though unyielding in certain respects, he has been shown capable of allowing subtle changes to overcome his normally rigid way of thinking (another spoilery example: At the start of canon, he was ready to kill Luffy should he ever be made to choose between his dream and his captain. At the point I'm taking him from, he was willing to die-- and, by default, give up on his dream-- in order to save Luffy's. That's some serious character growth, yo.)

It can depend if a 'design' will continue when she messes around with the form she's in. Say if she had been a dog and then decided to become larger. If she doesn't think about the fur or skin covering the new/expanded areas of her legs and body, it will just look like exposed flesh.

Name: Silth Sananurgue

Wing Color: Secondary feathers are a glossy pitch black that will fade into gray and then turn white at the primaries.
Physical Appearance: Silth stands at about 6 feet tall and is thin. However due to his slightly hunched posture he often maintains, he seems much shorter than he lets on. His hair is pure black, often left loose and in general it’s not very well maintained, and goes down to about his shoulders.
His skin is also very, very pale and of the few who have come across him regards him as almost a walking skeleton of sorts. Silth’s eyes are his most contrasting features. His left eye is red while his right bears some semblance of what is commonly referred to as Central heterochromia in which the same iris bears two colors. For Silth it is blue and gold (as shown here)

History: Silth was born on the eve of Galten 1768, approximately 4000 years before the Great War between Seu’dan and Calabaria. For easy of translation it’s basically similar to August in normal speak. Silth was born into a family of nomadic gypsy like people known simply as Hota. They’re a very far reaching and widely eclectic group of people whose main trade is stories, poem, musical talents and illusionistic abilities. They as a people preformed all over the world, Balies, and were well known for their skills. Hota in general were a very peace keeping group of people they had no wars among outsiders and within their own clan there wasn’t much dissention either. Silth’s family wasn’t very important, nor were they disposable either. Silth had a knack for the theatrics and his quick hand and sharp eye proved him to be a perfect candidate for illusionary magic tricks. He was also a faster learn albeit a bit slow when it came to things that called for common sense. More often than not instead of doing physical work Silth was usually sent to build and man the caravan while the others hunted or went out for provisions. So as it were each family’s child was given and put into a special caravan to whom they would belong for the majority of their life. Silth left with his when he was ten, his feelings and opinions about the matter hardly counted and he was grateful to aid and help his family gain some more fame and pull in the Hota peoples. And the subsequent winter that followed was a harsh one and the main caravan to which Silth was born into was destroyed in an avalanche on their trail back through the Yeshiet Mountains. The news of the disaster did not arrive to Silth and his specific caravan until a year later.
This, among a series of other unfortunate events, would spur Silth into a downward spiral to which he would grow into a man and then a monster.

He still completed his training and work as an illusionist for the Hota caravan but eventually…Silth became more detracted, more focused on other things. Horrible things, things the Hota did not approve of. Spirit magic, otherwise commonly known as jata, and the ability to cheat death, necromancy were some of the things Silth had taken to. It doesn’t help that the town they were in, Schulgdin, was a center piece for the mages of Balies. Silth was thusly ostracized by his own people when the several warnings given were ignored and when Silth himself began using Hotan customers and townspeople for his ludicrous experiments. The more he delved into jata and the methods behind necromancy Silth’s humanity was slowly slipping away. He cared not for the emotions or happiness he created with his illusionary magic tricks, but instead, fueled himself through the earnings of hard work and honing skills of his jata.
