A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Personality:
From an early age, Kazuya was a physically frail child, which earned the ire of his father. His father would go on to physically abuse and beat Kazuya virtually every day before a final incident when Kazuya was hurled off the side of a cliff. Since then, he has hated his own short comings, and his goal of physical perfection mirrors this self-loathing. Kazuya is also a very goal oriented person. He survived for twenty years fueled by the desire for revenge alone. Once he achieved his revenge, he grew directionless, delving into ever more risky behavior just to keep himself entertained. It was only through the intervention of Jun Kazama that he seemed balanced. During this time, he let his guard down and became conflicted between the evil urges his inner demon attempted to make him do, and his last shreds of humanity. It was during this time that Heihachi - who had been presumed dead - took advantage of his confusion and ultimately hurled Kazuya into an active volcano. In order to survive, he embraced his hatred and allowed the demon to fully envelop him. For another twenty years, he lay dormant as G Corporation rebuilt him. Upon his reawakening, he discovered that not only was his lover pregnant when he last saw her, and was presumed dead after encountering a being Heihachi had unleashed.

Since losing Jun, he was consumed by rage and hatred for the world around him, making the destruction of a society he saw as unfit for someone as pure as Jun his sole purpose. Of course, this is more instinct for him after embracing the Devil-gene and the alternate personality associated with it. He is very aggressive, to the point of violently attacking and killing a company's board of directors so as to seize control of the company, and is not above manipulating anyone and everyone to get what he wants. He is not sadistic in the traditional sense, however he feels no greater thrill than when fighting. It is during these moments that he feels more relaxed than at any other time, allowing him to both indulge his more feral nature of the Devil-gene while still being able to maintain the control that sets him apart from the beast within. In the rare event that someone can best him or at least match him in skill, he respects them while still obsessing over how to defeat them. For those able to be counted among the extremely select few that he considers friends, he is fiercely protective, often to the point of overreacting to virtually any and every situation involving them.

Personality:
Loki is Asgard's least favorite denizen. Of course there have been enough reasons to not like Loki. After all, Loki's role has always been one tied to causing Ragnarok and an impressive amount of other foul schemes. That’s why there wasn't a welcome wagon waiting for a little Loki at his return to Asgard. Even though Loki's memory has been pretty much 'formatted' by the words of his brother Thor, he is more than aware of the role he has played in the past, even though he cannot recall specific acts. He refers to them as horrible visions appearing in his nightmare and there are a lot of moments he finds himself questioning if he really has been such a horrible person. Thor reassures him that that’s the past and he is his brother, and everything’s going to be dandy. Thor is also the one who protects his brother from the anger of everyone else in Asgard, sticking up for him and making sure he's safe. And especially making sure that Loki isn't tricking, cheating, lying or up to anything that might harm Asgard.

Unlike earlier stories, Loki is very attached to his brother, Thor. Whatever happens, Thor will forever be his brother. The trust his brother gives him is one of the main motivations to not become what he used to be. Even if that comes with great sacrifices (i.e. the life of said brother himself). It shows Loki is that brave-little-trooper kind of protagonist who carries on with his plans instead of falling into a pattern of self-pity and bitterness. Desperate situations call for desperate measures and in Loki's case that shows. Not only does he round up an interesting party consisting out of former villains to save Midgard and Asgard, he also is not afraid to abuse the reputation of his older self to get things done. Even though the entire plan to rescue both realms is tied together by making the most dubious deals with the most shady characters. He also sets Surtur free in the process, which is a really bad thing. Causing doom to prevent other certain dooms, so to speak. It is a perfect example that even with good intentions, Loki is not ashamed to do very dubious things.
The result of his entire grand scheme is that both realms remain, but that he has to lose his brother Thor in the process. If Volstagg hadn't stepped up to protect Loki instead (albeit very reluctantly) things probably would have looked more grim for him. Still, Loki doesn't seem very fazed by the constant bullying he suffers by other citizens of Asgard (since Loki is stripped of his magic and other abilities his fellow Asgardians feel way more confident to assault him and give him a beating or two). At least, that’s what it looks like, but he is a rather closed person when it comes to that. Of course, there are points it gets to him and he mutters about it (i.e. not getting gifts during yuletide, but getting a severe pummeling by some Asgardian kids instead), but he doesn’t do that in the open. There are some moments he cries but that’s mostly when he's alone and Ikol can sneer at him for being such a crybaby. For other sentiments, he shares these mostly with Leah (Hela's handmaiden), who he brands as his b.f.f. and who is his partner in crime during most of his adventures. The friendship with Leah is an important thing to Loki, after all, not many want to be his friend (and, to be honest, Leah isn't quite enthusiastic about Hela's idea to keep her with Loki at first either) and he values such things.
Loki is more the type that uses his brains instead of might. This shows when people bully him where he is acting surprisingly passive. He will crack a couple of insults but doesn’t really get into rowdy fights with the other kids. Of course Loki can get really pissed at things but those moments are rare, overall he's quite a mellow kid.
Still, Loki states multiple times that he wishes not to become like he used to be in the past. It is kind of a recurring thing. Even when faced with the spirit of his former self. who basically reveals that his rebirth is part of a greater scheme to ensure that Loki the Trickster and all his awful reputation would live on. The current Loki dismisses that and demands his older self to be reduced to a magpie, thus rejecting the role his older!self had set for him. This magpie, Ikol, joins Loki on all his adventures and Loki assigns it as his advisor. And maybe also a device to always remind himself of the person he never wants to become. He is very focused on this goal, and very focused on using his talents for a good cause. Loki fears that he’s to blame for Thor’s death, since he kind of staged it in order to save everything. Of course, he has consulted Thor about it after sneaking into the dungeon he got locked in after a major disagreement with Odin (whose plan was to only save Asgard and not Midgard). Actually, it were his brothers words that made him decide to go through with this. He hides this fear, but it becomes quite a danger in the arc concerning Nightmare, his hunt for fears inside people’s heads and Loki’s fear being the biggest (and most wanted) of all. Another fear is that he’ll grow up- Loki prefers to stay a kid. Just because if he would grow up, it would mean he might change into the man he used to be. This shows when he chooses not to throw a hell-pup into an abyss because he cannot abandon it, making a connection between the fact that no one wanted the puppy in the same ways a no one really likes him around in Asgard either. He names the dog Thori (after Thor). -->
