You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

1. What's your opinion on species unlike your own? Do you treat them the same, or differently? Are they less important than your own kind or on equal standing?

You mean do I think humans are of equal standing? [He starts to smirk at that.] I will not deny they have their value. To Wraith, they our life force. Our food, as you would say. Every human life is valuable because it is what sustains us. Wraith who take lives or play with human lives for their own enjoyment... [His lips curl in disgust.] I take wasted lives seriously. A child who is fed upon before he he can father more of his kind is a waste. The elimination of an entire planet of humans is a grave matter, but we do not take such matters lightly. We are no different than humans are with their own cattle. If their food is tainted or unruly, then it becomes pointless to let the imperfection spread.

But there are certain traits among humans that are admirable. The humans of Earth have a tenacity to survive that match our own. Perhaps one day they might even be our equals. But for now, our dietary requirements means that humans will always be prey to my kind. It is not easy to simply deny a fact of nature.

2. Are you a team player?

At our greatest, the wraith operate as a collective, driven for a common purpose. During the war with the Lanteans, we had no differences or divisions. We fought for a common purpose. However... hunger has driven us into many factions, battling to control our limited resources.

I work with others when it is to our mutual benefit. Wraith or humans, the only thing that is important is one's word. I do not break my agreements. [But if you break your promises to him, God help you.]

3. How would you describe yourself?

I am Wraith. What more needs to be said than that?

4. What's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

Others are not motivated to help me due to charity. Such a notion is a human one. My brothers follow me because I lead them well. They pick me up if I fall because it is better to have me than to not. The humans of Atlantis have spared me because I am invaluable to them. There is no kindness inherit in any of these actions. I have not grown so sentimental as to see it any other way.

5. How much do you value power? What is the limit of what you'd do to possess it?

Power is a fool's ambition, but I will not deny its importance. I play a deadly game in trying to obtain more. It is only with power that the ways of the galaxy might be changed and my kind saved from a pointless war. I am willing to play that 'game' for as long as necessary.

6. How long do you think your mun will keep you in the game? Are you going to engage in mortal combat with Goroh for the right to be the character who survives this cycle?

This place will be a waste of my abilities. I will welcome being forgotten and dismissed. But if this 'Goroh' chooses to fight me anyway, then I will not hesitate to feed upon him. He can at least prove useful in his final moments of idiocy.
