If you want to canon-update your character, you must re-apply for said character with the relevant changes (history, personality, strengths and weaknesses, etc). For re-apps and canon updates, samples must be rewritten; we do not accept recycled samples.

You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

Gabu is a loyal wolf, who ‘holds friendship above all things’. He dedicates himself quickly to Mei when he finds out how alike they are. Since he was a pup, the people he thought were his ‘friends’ would tease him and bully him, so someone like Mei was easy to attach to because of his sweet disposition. Gabu’s loyalty to his friends goes so far as to make him forcibly give up his nature as a wolf and vow not to eat Mei, even though goat meat is his favorite food. He’d rather go without than lose Mei to death or betrayal by eating his comrades. He goes against his entire pack, figuratively and literally, just to keep Mei safe and protects him with his life.

He’s very friendly, accepting Mei almost immediately upon learning he was a goat during their first lunch together. He tends to be polite, apologizing for off color things he might say almost immediately and always offering Mei a hand when walking over obstacles in the woods. He likes to laugh and make jokes and generally do pleasant things with his friend. From what we see of his interactions with the other wolves, despite their ill nature towards him, he’s pretty consistently nice to them, as well.

Gabu’s got a crafty nature, and is intelligent. He can think up plans on the fly, even though they might be reckless, in order to save Mei or himself. He tricks the leader of their wolf pack away from Mei when he almost finds him in the fog on Crumbling Rock and thinks to hide himself and Mei behind a boulder in a cave to keep Mei from being caught.

Out of the two of them, he is probably the most optimistic. He almost seems to flat out refuse to give up hope until he’s in dire straits. Even as Mei seems to be dying on the mountain and pleads with him to eat him so that he can survive, Gabu opts instead to make his own option and find food for Mei so he can make it down the mountain. Gabu start to doubt, but never gives up on their dream to make it to their forest.

Gabu can sometimes stick his foot in his mouth. As stated before, he sometimes has to apologize for off color things he says to Mei. He doesn’t always think about Mei’s position as a goat when he’s speaking, though he always catches himself when his mouth moves before his brain and apologizes for it. The culture of wolves is all he really knows, and he sometimes fumbles through his attempts at learning what is and isn’t sensitive for goats, being prey and being hunted by his kind.
