If you want to canon-update your character, you must re-apply for said character with the relevant changes (history, personality, strengths and weaknesses, etc). For re-apps and canon updates, samples must be rewritten; we do not accept recycled samples.

You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

First Person:

I see. In summation, this world is known as "Luceti", an isolated place that draws in beings from multiple different worlds for a yet unknown purpose. The wings and markings are symbols of our imprisonment, and those responsible are known as the "Malnosso". A barrier surrounds this place that prevents either entry or exit, with the exception of the Malnosso itself. Finally, an antagonistic group known as the "Third Party" exist outside the barrier, against whom the residents of Luceti are occasionally required to fight against.

I cannot approve of this. To involve others in your personal struggle without their consent... no, even against their own wishes. Even were I not to have been abducted in this manner, I would oppose this with all my strength. Those who claim that they have no choice but to inflict suffering on others for a greater purpose are merely making excuses for their lack of faith in their own power. How despicable.

Third Person:

Milla strode through the village square, scanning her surroundings. In certain ways, this place reminded her of Ni Akeria, the village in which her cloister was based. The buildings may have been built with the bricks and mortar of man rather than the simplistic rural materials that she was used to, but the reflective calm, the brief whistles of wind carrying the smells of straw and grass, the people clad in robes of summer colours...

"No. Something is wrong."

She could sense it, lurking within the long shadows cast by the buildings. A falsehood that placed her well-honed instincts on high alert. The superficial wings attached to her back did not concern her, nor the markings at the base of her neck. They posed no immediate danger to her. But the haunted looks of those she met for the first time, the look that was quickly replaced with a practised smile of welcome... that gave her reason to keep her sword close to her side.

Scratching the surface of this illusion had revealed a few accepted facts about this new world: the mysterious beings known as Malnosso, the phenomenon called "Shifting", the frequent kidnappings by faceless automatons, and the sinister Third Party behind the barrier. Was the reason for her abduction somehow connected to all of this? Milla knew better than to lose herself in uncertainties. She would discover the truth in time, by her own hand. In the meantime, she would strengthen her body for that inevitable day. When the danger within the shadows chose to strike, they would be met with a keenly-sharpened blade of magic and swordplay.

Before her stood the so-called "Battle Dome", a place of illusions that tested mind and body alike. Without hesitation, Milla marched forward, the cavernous doors opening wide to welcome her. The first challenge awaited within.
