You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Kohaku has now come to terms with the fact that she can no longer return to Heaven…well, technically she could, and she has chosen to stay on Earth with Shuichiro. And as long as he comes back to her, Heaven isn’t the main thing, or even a big thing in her mind anymore. But she still follows all the rules of being an angel. It never even crosses her mind to break any of those rules. She’s content with not being able to eat, though she’s no long horribly creeped out at being near food. (Though dead animals still bother her a LOT) And if she can, she will not hesitate to go on and on, rambling about the reasons why she follows the rules, and maybe why some others should follow a few of those rules as well. (I mean seriously, how hard is it to avoid stepping on the grass?)

She still has the habit of referring to herself as an angel, even more so now. She will readily call herself ‘the angel Kohaku’, though not to humans unless they seem to know about things like that, but if anyone calls her a boy or a girl she will correct them by saying she isn’t either.

She is also completely content with just being around a person, or a friend, and expects nothing special, like not to be treated differently. She does though have a habit of just observing people before even talking to them. Not for any particular reason, just that she finds just about anything some people do is just plain entertaining. And sometimes, she can even learn something new!

Strengths:

Physical ~

Physically, Kohaku has just about zero (0) amount of physical strength, but one good thing about being ‘how’ she is, is that she’s extremely fast, and quiet when she wants to be. Since she can fly (with or without her wings) she can get away from any bad situation, and there’s a good bet that she’s hard to follow. Also, being so light and able to fly, she is as quiet as a ninja. Since she’s almost always hovering when she doesn’t want to step on any plant life, and unless the ground feels like being loud, it’s easier for her to just sneak up an unsuspecting person.

Kohaku is actually capable of some pretty powerful magic…sort of. Give her some demon help and she can TIME TRAVEL.

Her most useful magic though is her healing…that is, if she can manage to look at a cut, she can heal it just fine. Although, it’s mostly used for healing and putting branches back onto trees like Madam Hisui taught her, she does know basic healing spells that work on things other than plants!

One more interesting, if not odd power she has is that she can listen to a CD just by holding it.

Mental ~

Her best mental strength is her ability to stay exactly who she’s always been. Nothing can shake her personality, or ideals. If she wants to believe something, then nothing can change her mind. Even seeing a horrid war would not be able to change her belief that all people, or even demons can be good.

While she is not book smart, she is somewhat people smart. If someone tells her something, it won’t be forgotten. And if it’s something she can use to help that person in the future, don’t think she won’t remind them of what they said before.

Now while she will never outwit someone, she will use all of the things she’s learned to question what one is doing. Since she is always doing it, she likes to have people think about what they are saying or doing, especially since she finds people so interesting, she likes to know why people think the way they do to find out even more, and learn more about them.

Emotional ~

Kohaku has the ability to stay eternally happy, innocent, curious, and optimistic. It takes a LOT to break any of those emotions for longer than a few minutes. She can be crying her eyes out one minute, worrying if she did something wrong, but then suddenly go back to happy once she’s told everything is alright. Or in the worst situation she will stay optimistic through it all, even more so the older she gets!

Anger is an unknown emotion for this one. Just like hating/disliking anyone/thing, even a demon. Even if they do something cruel, she believes almost completely in forgiveness. So her feeling of ‘hate’ is just going to end in trying to forget what they did, and from then on try to avoid them. (Or get them to say sorry every time she runs into them, and feeling sorry for them if they don’t.)

Also, being an angel also has a slight influence to people’s emotions around her. It’s easy for her to calm someone down just by talking to them.
