Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!
A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.
Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

Name: Arata Kasuga
Fandom: Trinity Seven
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown. Estimated to be 16-18
Time Period: Post Chapter 19
Wing Color: Black
History: (WARNING: The plot will not make much sense since it's tough to condense.)
Arata's daily life was the usual thing! He went to school, made wise cracks about the breast size of his cousin, Hijiri... And he pretty much lived his life peacefully. Until one day, he realized that the sun was a completely different color than usual... A black sun had appeared and only Arata was the one who could see it. During that day, Arata and Hijiri had encountered a magician named Lilith who tells Arata that he needed to 'wake up' or she would kill him. Arata takes the threat in stride, but it doesn't leave his mind until he encounters her again with the same notice. Whenever Arata goes to the rooftop, he realizes that even the moon had turned black. Hijiri appears to tell Arata that this was how things always were and it was the world that he had desired. Before she could continue her odd persuasion moves on Arata, Lilith appears and reveals her identity as a magician and attacks Hijiri. At this point, it's revealed that the "Hijiri" that was talking with Arata was actually a shadow of her. Now this is where things begin to get odd, it turns out that the current world that Arata was in was actually a fake one and she reveals that Arata's home town was completely destroyed in the real one. Arata's repressed memories start to return as he remembers people being absorbed by the Black Sun and the environment being destroyed around them. The real Hijiri gives Arata a magical grimore to grant him a wish and tells him to never forget her before she ends up disappearing. After his flashback ends, the fake Hijiri ends up clarifying even further that Arata had ended up using a "World Reconstruction Spell" without even knowing how. This is where Lilith ends up giving Arata a choice... Either she would take the grimone and erase all of his memories of his friends and Hijiri or let him have the grimore, but kill him. Like the badass protagonist he is, Arata chooses a third option and decides to keep the Grimonre and his memories of his friends. After this, Arata asks the fake Hijiri if the real one was still alive. We learn that since the fake Hijiri lives, this means that the real one still exists... But she happens to be crossing around time and space somewhere. It was at this point that Arata had decided that he would become a powerful magician to find her. After this, he ends up attending Royal Biblica Academy where Lilith is revealed to be his teacher.
News had buzzed around the school with Arata's new arrival. Being a student who was already considered to be the next "Magic King Candidate", his appearance happened to be a really big deal. Now it's time to cover a little bit on what Royal Biblica Academy actually does. The Academy happens to be a super secret organization that trains mages from all over the world. With a little funding from other countries, the mages go out to investigate unresolved problems and mysterious incidences that are magic related. As Arata speaks with the head chairmen, he discovers that there can be a quicker way for him to learn magic - And that would be learning from the 'Trinity Seven'. They happen to be seven elite magicians that happens to experts in their specific magical field (and Lilith is one of them). Arata ends up meeting with a few of the other members of the group - Levi Kazama, Mira Yamana, Akira Fudou and Serina Celes (who happens to be a reporter, but she isn't one of them). Also he ends up meeting a girl who looks exactly like Hijiri in the baths, but it turns out that she is also another Trinity Seven member named Arin Kannazuki. Right after this, Levi, Lilith and Serina are together in Arata's room for their own personal motivations (if you know what I mean, I kid). More information about Arata's grimore is revealed! He happens to be carrying the "Astil Manuscript" that is said to contain information about another world. Then we get more information from Lilith that goes into more about how magicians use their magic. All magicians require a research concept that they call their 'theme' to start off. Information about those are recorded with manuscripts. While Arata and the others are inside the room, Arin and the headmaster set up a barrier to test Arata. The girls and him end up destroying the barrier and even have time for a potty break at the end. At this point, it's revealed that the Headmaster wants to discover if Arata will become an evil mage and if Arin will become Arata's new partner as the Magic King. On the next day, Arin is following Arata around everywhere which throws off his groove for a bit. The reasoning behind this is that Arin has to observe the current Magic King candidate. Arin explains to him and Lilith about the shenanigans that happened the other day and that the Headmaster was behind them. The situation was to put Arata in a dilemma where he would trigger that Breakdown Phenomena again. To clarify a little, it seems that the Magic King is focused more as a 'possible threat' or a 'villain' to the members of Magus because of the fact that they can control the Breakdown Phenomena and destroy the world. Arin ends up activating her Thema (Runa) and removes the restraints that the Grimore has placed on Arata's magical powers. His powers begun to go berserk and the school begins to collapse and disintegrate into particles. Even a Black Sun ends up appearing in the sky. The reasoning behind Aria's actions is explained simply: A mage means researching something no matter how far it strays into inhuman territories. Akio Fudou and Mira Yamama appear to put a stop to the Breakdown Phenomena and seemly kill Arata.
Of course, there's no way that the main character can die off this early in the story. The Breakdown Phenomena still continues with Arata gone and he wakes up in a strange world. A girl named Yui Kurata (who happens to be another member of Trinity Seven) appears to tell Arata that she appeared at the last minute to pull him out of danger. At this point, Arata ends up learning that the Breakdown Phenomena is still going because of himself and resolves to stop it. Yui explains that Arata can actually control that power with his 'thema'. We get an explanation that the themes are split into the Seven Deality Sins - Superbia (Pride), Ira (Wrath), Ararita (Sloth), Invida (Envy), Acedia (Greed), Luxuria (Lust) and Gula (Lust). The sins act as achieves and a magician finds a thema associated with one. Arata ponders and gets a clue to a thema after seeing Mira's thema in action. Arata returns to the real world and activates his theme: "Rule". While he manages to negate the Breakdown Phenomena, he also ends up negating all other magic in the area and the girls' clothing as a result. Oops. Good going, Arata. The day is strippe-- I mean, saved. And now we move onto a beach chapter. Everyone at the school is partying while the Headmaster is repairing the school from last arc's incident. Arata and Arin are cooking for everyone as punishment for their latest antics. Serina asks to see Arata's new technique where he ends up negating her clothes and the usual love comedy antics occur. Later that evening, the group head down to the hot springs and the girls learn more about Arata's serious motivations to save Hijiri. In order to assist his quest, they decide to see what they can do about controlling Arata's new found abilities. With some shocking begging on his part, Arata asks for a way he can copy Lilith's Outer Alchemy magic and ends up turning his Grimore into a gun. From this, it's discovered that Arata can actually end up copying and mastering the Trinity Seven members' magic abilities. After these events, the group ends up returning to the repaired school.
Arata Kasuga | Trinity Seven | Canon Update (Part 2)
So with that, he decides to train up with Akio and Mira to unlock more of his powers. The first part of Arata's training was pretty much to get him to a state of near death since he would be gaining Akio's Gula thema for this around. This would bring him up to "Paladin Class". Meanwhile, the other girls are taking care of Serina while she's currently still weakened from losing so much magical energy. But the break doesn't last long since Liese appears in hopes to absorb what's left of Arata's magic and taking down the school. However, the Headmaster actually steps in to distract Liese and buy some time with Arata's training. We learn that the Headmaster isn't as goofy as he seems and it seems like there's a hint of evilness to him. Meanwhile, Arata is at a point where he's ready to go to the next stage of his training and the Astil Manuscript (Arata's Grimoire) awakens. For this step, it had decided to take a more physical form and reveals itself as the form of a young girl named "Sora". Sora declares that Hijiri had given her that name. With that said, Akio lets Arata "eat" some of her magic and he acquires her thema. During the process, he ends up seeing a flashback of her past and discovers that the key to using the Gula thema is having a certain kind of determination to follow through with it. Meanwhile, the Headmaster decides to throw the fight and let Arata take care of things and save Liese. Why? Because he's the main character. Liese ends up appearing in the girl's room while Serina is still recovering and decides to do battle with them there. The girls end up in a really tight spot, but Arata appears in new battle gear and with more magical power than ever. With Sora assisting, Arata and Liese do battle and things look like they're in Arata's favor until Liese ends up using her Lost Techica, a technique acquired by those who masterd their thema. After calling out "Baal Peor", Liese brings them into a time stop zone and keeps Arata and Sora moving within it. With that said, Arata discovers that he's in a tight spot. Since Liese could easily kill everyone in the room whenever she wanted and also she could simply touch Arata and absorb all of his magic in one go. However, he comes up with a well done plan. Liese manages to freeze Arata and kisses him, however he places a seal on his tongue to end up absorbing Liese's own magical energy and take the rest of his back. After his victory, Arata moves in to hug Liese and lets her know that she wasn't forgotten by the Trinity Seven members and they wanted her back. As a result of using her technique, Liese would be trapped in her black and white world for god knows how long. However, she lets Arata and Sora escape out of that world. Back in the normal world, it's revealed that Liese is (probably) trapped inside Serina's camera and the group decides to have Arata continue his magic training in order to bring Liese out of that world one day. Meanwhile, the Headmaster is being a creeper and watching the crew. Then he gets information that the Western Academy has been destroyed by the band of evil magi - Ish Kerioth (Gospel Seekers). And now it's time for a cool down chapter! Arata is super busy and trying to study up magic, but Lilith decides to have everyone cool down with a vacation at the hot springs to revive their magic. Basically, Lilith becomes semi-relevant to the plot again and we finally learn about her thema - Lust.
Personality: Whenever it comes to typical harem protagonists, you think they're shy and introverted and very sweet and kind. It's for that reason why their always scoring chicks from left and right, right? Arata, however, seems to be a complete subversion from your boring old harem protagonist. The first thing that you'll notice is how bold and forward he is. Arata is a very shameless pervert and doesn't hide that fact. It seems that he takes pride in being a pervert. If there is a girl in the area, Arata will openly call them "pretty" or will make a remark about their chest size or sense of style. The guy is a master flirt, to be honest. For example, when Arata was first introduced to the class and was asked what kind of girls that he liked--- He openly stated that he liked girls with big breasts. Then he subtly followed up that he could also fall in love with flat chested girls too. He even didn't hesitate to make jokes about Hijiri's chest size. Now while Arata is perverted, he's still very considerate towards others. During the beach chapter, Arata had accidentally stripped off Serina's clothing due to his magic. In the end, he offered her his jacket and went out to go looking for more clothes to get her. And he's also very perspective towards the environment around him. He was able to tell the fake Hijiri from the real one due to the drawing that the real Hijiri had made him when they were little kids. She had colored the sun red while the fake Hijiri had stated that the sun had always been black. While he's not completely stupid, Arata can be pretty clueless towards complicated subjects sometimes. Whenever Lilith was explaining her "Outer Alchemy", Arata completely disregarded her lecture and told his Grimore to transform into a gun. One could interpret this as how Arata doesn't like to sweat on the big details and complications. He's still getting a grasp at how magic works and he has shown himself to be quite crafty in dangerous situations. For example, he was able to trick his Grimore to discovering where the barrier seal was in his room. After that, the group was able to destroy it and escape from the Headmaster's trap. Another thing is Arata is the kind of boy who enjoys to joke around and tease people, but he might sometimes go too far and end up hurting people's feelings. Most of the time, Lilith happens to be at the butt of Arata's teasing, which could be a way of him showing his friendly affection towards her since Lilith happens to be Arata's ideal girl. Usually, you might have to threaten him or slap him to get him to stop or he'll cut down on the shenanigans on his own.
Arata Kasuga | Trinity Seven | Canon Update (Part 3)
The biggest trait about Arata can relate to the theme that he's researching: 'Rule.' Since 'Rule' falls under 'Pride' as a sin, Arata is said to show pride right down to his very soul. He takes great pride within himself and always seems to be confident and a bit cocky. Even though it's mentioned that the thema that a magician is studying is furthest away from what they truly are, Arata seems to still show prideful traits. Arata will sometimes even boldly admit his faults (like him lacking proper physical strength) no matter how lame they are. He's able to take the resources he can and make good use of them. While he's still pretty clueless on his journey in magic, Arata had created this path for himself and he's proud of it. Even if his chances of being a magician and saving his cousin are slim, Arata still wants to do his best and will do anything for his cousin. He might not show his heroic qualities very often, but they're definitely there! He'll shield his friends in the face of danger! He'll say cool lines like a protagonist and even joke about how great that sounded! He'll even openly wonder about a girl's cup size and stare at them without getting a nosebleed! Oh, we were saying that he was heroic, right? While he might seem like a perverted lech, Arata is still a caring and dependable guy whenever it counts the most.
After the events with Liese, he's actually matured himself quite a bit. While he's still always thinking about saving Hijiri, Arata knows that it's okay to sit back and take care of other things first before focusing on the bigger problem at hand. Like for example, Liese had given Arata the offer to join her and become an evil mage. The reasoning behind this that he can make a huge shortcut in becoming stronger and end up finding his cousin more quickly in the long run. However, Arata had completely refused that offer because that would have come with the price of turning his back on his friends and the 'clean' magus path. There was a point where he almost lost all of his friends during the first battle with Liese and that was a major wake up call for Arata. Normally, he tends to be very laid back and lets things take care of themselves. In a way, you could say that Arata doesn't worry too often. But the fact that he was too weak to protect everyone had given him the resolve to actually go through some hellish training to make himself more stronger. Instead of watching others' battle for his sake, he's now willing to jump head first into danger and protect his comrades. After all, if he wants to save Hijiri, he realizes that he needs to become a "battle mage" and be willing fight head on against his opponents. While he can still openly flirt with girls and be a joker, there's a higher sense of obligation than before. Arata's gained a new sense of determination to protect his friends whenever it counts. And also, he's starting to apply himself more better with learning how magic works and performing well on his studies. This even surprises Lillth who knows how well he tends to play around. However, she's worried that Arata is starting to dig in too deeply into magic itself and he'll become something terrible if he ends up misusing it. After Liese sacrificing herself for Arata's sake, he's made it very clear that he doesn't want any to disappear in front of his eyes ever again. That's exactly why he's working hard to free Liese and save Hijiri.

Arata Kasuga | Trinity Seven | Canon Update (Part 4)
Astil Manuscript - This is Arata's mysterious Grimoire that gives him a myriad of magical abilities. It seems to be the only one in the series that can talk verbally so far. As long as Arata has this on his hands, he can allow himself to enter "Magus Mode" (a change into his Mage outfit) and gives him the power to use his techniques. After the events with Liese, we discover that the Grimoire actually has a "human" form. It's revealed that the girl from the first chapter that was disguised as Hijiri was actually Arata's Grimoire itself. The young girl was named "Sora" by the real Hijiri. Whenever it's in human form, it can aid Arata in battles such as through boosting his spells or giving him proper directions. (WHICH SHE SUCKS AT)
"Get out of my sight!" - A special technique by Arata that allows him to negate magic whenever it's tossed at him. However, there are many flaws to use it. For example, this is more of a "area wide" spell than a "focused attack" spell. Whenever Arata uses this, it will negate all magic within range and this also includes his allies. It's a constant running gag for him to accidentally strip off the magic costumes of the girls like this. SO BOLD.
Magic Alchemy - One of the spells that Arata has learned. With Magic Alchemy, he can focus his magical energy into molding his Grimoire into a weapon and use it accordingly. So far, he has turned his Grimoire into a gun and uses it to defeat the Dark Dragon that was holding Mina hostage. Through this, Arata can control his negating power into bullets fired through the gun. The drawback to using this is that fact that Arata needs to have a certain level of concentration and imagination to create the weapon that he wants and the Grimoire itself needs to "understand" the material that it's transforming into. Otherwise, it will come out as an odd weapon like a toy ray gun compared to a badass revolver for example.
Logos Magic - Arata's new spell learned from Akio. This gives him a new outfit and allows Arata to strengthen his body to negate and/or absorb attacks inflicted on himself. This also gives him an increase on speed since he was able to dodge all of Liese's attacks (with some extra help on Sora's side). Arata can also use his magical energy to form it in the shape of a dragon to either absorb magical spells or attack others. This isn't limited to the dragon, but even Arata himself can slap on a "logo" onto someone's skin and use that to absorb magical energy or attack someone. This can even happen whenever they come into contact with the logo. For example, Liese needed to absorb all of Arata's magical energy, so she kissed him. However, this worked to Arata's advantage since he had the logo placed on his tongue and fooled Liese into believing the real logo was on his fist.
The drawbacks of using this spell is that strengthening the body can rather tiring on this user and the user needs to have a certain level of "determination" to put into the spell. Otherwise, it will be rather weak! The stronger the determination, the more stronger the spell becomes.

First Person:
[There's an strange sight at the Library today. You're going to find Arata actually sitting at a table and reading through books. From some of the titles that you can see, they look very magic related. Meanwhile, the most bizarre sight is how serious Arata looks at the moment. He's taking notes and reading through pages every so often. It's almost as if a clone had replaced the old Arata and a new one from bizzaro world had appeared. Then he notices that the feed is on and raises an eyebrow.]
Oh? Was this thing on the whole time? I didn't even realize my journal was there. Anyway...
[He folds his hands together as he looks into the camera. There's something that he should've bothered to ask whenever he first came here, but he was busy toying around.]
I've got an important question for all. I'm pretty sure that's been asked around a lot, but please humor me a little and pretend that it was asked for the very first time. What types of magic exist in your world? For that matter, what exactly does the word "magic" mean to you? I never really took time to think about it more seriously before, but there really could be a lot that I can learn here...
And also, do you know if any there's magic spells that exists that could cure sick people instantly or even revive the dead? Kind of stuff like what necromancers do in RPGs, except I want them to come back perfectly. No bones or decaying skin showing, just perfectly as if they weren't dead to begin with. [Ah, he feels as if he was rambling along for a minute there. There's a wry smile to follow along with an awkward chuckle.]
Sorry, sorry. That's probably a dangerous topic to even bring up... But it never hurts to ask, right?
Third Person:
Before Arata knew it, he had finally returned to the village. The timing couldn't had been more perfect since he was in the middle of researching very important. For a moment, the boy had to wonder how much time had passed through here compared to his own world. The whole "different universe" system was still rather complicated to him. Realizing something, he didn't have his shirt on and his pants were replaced with a different pair. Not to mention, he had to get used to having the wings on his back once more.
"Huh? Seriously? Am I really going to be doing this whenever I come back here? Alright, let's get this side quest over with."
At this point, it was probably going to become second nature if he was going to keep coming and going here. However, there was the moment that he thought "What if he finally left for good?" Arata had met some interesting people here and considered those friendships very important. But eventually, he had to realize that all good things would come to end. He couldn't live here since his cousin was still wandering around somewhere and his promise to save Liese was still engraved into his heart. Arata was burning with resolve to complete both of those tasks. Maybe while he was here, he was going to continue his studying. There was always time to play, but he couldn't forget the main reason why he was going to become a magician. Maybe this was a sign that he had matured a little. Only a little.
If Lilith were around, she was frowned at the horrible grim expression on Arata's face. He had to keep in mind that he more he uses magic and digs into it, the closer he'll get to becoming something more horrible than those black creatures that they fought in the dungeon. The guy might have been lost his soul if he wasn't careful. Believe it or not, Arata wasn't going to cross that point. But if he had to sacrifice everything to save those two people, then so be it. His first trip was to get his regular clothes back and then get his Grimoire.
And eventually, his pondering and trip to get his stylish wear had bought him to the Item Shop. That's right, Arata had to pick up his comrade. Things were rather different compared to before, but they were still the fairly same. Arata had marched into the Item Shop with a "Coming in!" and started to walk around. Now he had to wonder where "she" would be placed. It was probably going to be a hassle to explain to people that would've asked how a book could transform into such a cute girl, but it couldn't be helped. The young Magic King had stopped at the piles of magical books and Grimoires. There was no doubt that she was sitting there... Ah, there it was. It was sitting perfectly in a corner as if someone had placed it there for him to find.
"Okay... Now it's time to get down to business." Leaving the item shop, Arata had didn't make a moment of pause and walked straight over to the village's library. Even though he wasn't at the Academy anymore, he still needed to focus on his studies. At this point, it was important that he would become strong enough to save Liese and Hijiri as soon as he could. That way, he wouldn't have to go through the pain of losing someone close to him ever again--
Then his thoughts were cut off by a young shy girl who looked like dropped some books on the ground. Deciding to be a gentlemen, Arata had gone out of his way to help her out. It looked like that they were heading into the same direction. After handing her the last book, he decided to tease her a little with a joke.
"You know, I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. It's impossible to put down!" The girl ended up snickering, but it was hard to hold back at the stupid pun that she ended up dropping all of her books again. The snickering turned into all out laughter.
He figured that a little fun wouldn't had hurt on the way. All work and no play made Arata a dull boy, after all.
