A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

To make things simpler (since some of her abilities could be considered a weakness rather than a strength) I've listed her key abilities in separate sections, along with a shorter list of specific strengths/weaknesses. I hope this is all right!

Illusions
Cheyenne is an illusionist. Her abilities stem from what she used to be, an elemental who could manipulate light and create things that weren't really there. The difference here is how she makes these illusions. Unlike a Light eleman, whose illusions are safe and visible to all, an illusionist can only show her illusions to someone when she is looking into their eyes.

Usually, she has no control over the illusions. If someone looks into her eyes when she is unprepared, they will be sucked into an illusion showing them what they fear the most. This could be something physical, such as spiders, or something emotional, such as a fear of loss or death. How it will be shown is unique to that person and Cheyenne never sees the illusion herself. The illusions move in real time, so if eye-contact is broken fast enough, the person may not even have a chance to react to what they have seen. However, it takes strong will-power to break from an illusion using the mind alone. The victim will not be able to see anything except for their illusion, so attacking the illusionist would have to be done by a third party.

At other times, Cheyenne can control what that person will see. In these cases, the illusions are not always negative. She can show someone a field of flowers or a starry night sky. However, even if the illusion does not cause that person pain, Cheyenne will still be feeding off of them in some way whether she does so intentionally or not. In truth, illusionists have very little control over much of their powers, which is why Cheyenne is forced to wear a blindfold; even a glimpse of her eyes could accidentally trap an innocent person in an illusion.

In Luceti, this power will be weakened. If a person has something over their eyes (dark/reflective sunglasses, etc) they will be able to see Cheyenne's eyes and not be sucked into an illusion. On this note, if Cheyenne looks into a pure reflective surface (no imperfections like cracks or ripples) she can accidentally trap herself into an illusion and will remain in that state for up to a day after. This usually ends up being fatal to the Illusionist.

Feeding
When Cheyenne feeds, she is feeding off of a person's soul. It appears as a silken thread-like material pulled from a person's chest. In this case, the soul means something a little different. As explained by the link, there are four sections of a soul, and each effect a person differently when they are taken away. Due to Cheyenne's peaceful nature, she never takes more than she needs to live, and even then, she usually draws from the Power section of a soul (which replenishes itself within a person after a good night's sleep or a large meal). This section of the soul can be drawn out without the need to frighten her victim (ie: a peaceful illusion). However, if a person sees her eyes and is shown their greatest fear, Cheyenne will feed off the Potency section of the soul instead due to the surge of powerful emotion associated with fear.

When a person has had the Potency section of their soul drained, they will essentially be without emotions for a period of time. If less than 10% is taken, the person may be devoid of emotion for up to a week. If less than 50% is taken (which is still much more than Cheyenne needs to survive) the person will still be able to recover their emotions gradually, usually throughout the course of a few weeks. Any more than that and the soul is considered damaged, and the person may never regain full control of their emotions unless Cheyenne is killed and the soul is returned.

Cheyenne will need to feed on a soul twice a week to keep from getting too hungry, and once a month if she merely wants to survive (she also eats regular food, in addition to souls, in order to sustain regular body functions). If she goes without eating too long, she will temporarily lose her sanity and feed on everything in sight until completely satiated. If a scenerio like this ever happened where she took a person's entire soul, she would have to die for the souls to be returned (assuming the person didn't die as well).

Finally, the physical strain brought on by removing parts of a person's soul will reflect the same strain put on the person whose soul is being taken. So, if the person were to pass out shortly after the experience, so would Cheyenne.

Vision
This is not so much ability, as it just explains how she can get around despite wearing the blindfold (as well as how her sight functions when her eyes are open). Because she needs to feed on souls in order to survive, Cheyenne has another sense dedicated to sensing and analyzing the souls of living things around her. This is how she knows which section of the soul to feed on. Even with her eyes closed, she can feel when a creature possessing a soul comes near her. And since every person's soul is unique, she can tell when different people are approaching her.

However, even with her eyes open, what she sees is not the same as what is truly there. If a creature has a soul, then she will see that person as a representation of their soul. This is usually a soft, colorful glow in that person's shape, the hue of which varies by the person. Only the eyes can be seen as they truly appear. Inanimate objects are seen very faintly in grayscale, but if the object is moving, she can see it a little more clearly. Finally, creatures without souls but are still alive are seen as inanimate objects (this also includes plants and the like). Unless her other senses tell her otherwise (she hears them speak, smells them if they are organic, etc) she may treat them as an inanimate object unintentionally.

Her vision with her eyes closed and her vision with her eyes open work in roughly the same way. The only difference is that inanimate objects (such as walls) become much harder to see and she had a tendency of missing the occasional corner if she walks too fast. Basically: she walks into walls sometimes.

Strengths:
1. Since she can "see" people without even needing her eyes open, it's pretty hard to sneak up on her.
2. It's difficult to make her angry or upset, unless you harm someone she cares about.
3. She has incredible willpower, seeing as she is basically surrounded by "food" and yet chooses not to feed more than necessary to keep herself alive.

Weaknesses:
1. Mirrors can kill her.
2. She has a hard time reading emotions that aren't blantantly obvious. Unless someone is crying, she won't know they're sad. The only one she understands well is fear.
3. At the same time, she has trouble showing her own emotions. She does have them, but they are very muted. This will probably make it harder for people to become close with her.
4. It's hard for people to become close to her. Literally. Because she is the product of a cursed being, physically touching her will give people chills or suddenly make them feel sad and upset.
5. Evil powers aside, she's just a little girl. She can't fight at all. Just push her down and run away!
6. Her eyes are very fragile and if they become damaged, she'll starve but never actually die unless she stops eating real food as well.
7. She can't read, so written posts will be ignored, sob.
