You may link to threads on the

trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic), Masamune (masamune3x), or Emily (spark memories) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the

luceti profile page.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

1. What's one thing you hope to achieve in the future?

In the days following the defeat of the Spiral King and the fall of Teppelin, I sought for revenge, but I realized in the weeks and months that followed that the words of my creator and king were true. A beastman, even an army of us, cannot defeat an awakened ‘Man of the Spiral.’

I still don’t understand what that means. Many secrets died with Lordgenome that day.

Now, I only fight because that is all I am good for. I couldn’t join my brethren as they integrated into the new society, but I could stay and find a new cause to fight. I did. All it earned me was a fallen Gunman and a prison sentence.

I’m not certain what I plan for the future anymore. I have eternity, even if eternity is less than three weeks.

2. Do you consider yourself to be special in any way? Explain.

I do not. I have always been a soldier, no more and no less. I don’t claim to understand why the Spiral King decided to gift me with immortality as he did, or why he chose me above my fellow soldiers and beastmen. I disobeyed orders, and would have accepted any punishment he delivered. But that child…Simon. I wanted to understand why he acted as he did.

If that makes a man special, then any warrior with any kind of honor is special.

3. What's your opinion on species unlike your own? Do you treat them the same, or differently? Are they less important than your own kind or on equal standing?

Beastmen are not one singular species, but a group of many kinds. We are all made of cloned tissue and combined genetics, but I understand now that this does not make us superior. Our experiences are different from humans, but it does not make them any better or worse.

I only treat humans as they treat me—with distance, and respect. This doesn’t mean I like everything that they do, but the defenseless among them deserve support. While the members of team Dai-Gurren fought for what they believed, this new government of theirs is doing exactly what the Spiral King did. For all of their pretty words, they are no different.

4. Do you have any regrets? If so, what are they?

If there is anything that I do regret, it is not knowing to ask questions sooner.

5. If you had a choice between becoming a real human or remaining as you are, what would you choose?

I can’t make that decision. All I know is my life as it has been. The decisions I made have not always been good, but becoming a ‘real’ human would not make my lot any different. If I had to choose, I would remain as I am.
