We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

Strengths:

Physical

Physically Envy is FAR stronger than your average person in every form except it’s original parasitic one. It’s able to break through things like stone with relative ease, and it’s transforming abilities let it take on the physical aspects of many different kinds of animals or well, anything really. It can turn into a horse or say a cheetah when it wants to use speed for example. And it turned it’s arm into a snake in order to hold Ling in place while the other became a blade.

Because the form(s) it picks is carrying the weight of it’s large beast form, Envy is actually quite heavy for it’s size and is really hard to move if someone were to try and force it to, or hit it with blunt physical attacks. As demonstrated when Ed punches it with his metal arm and it doesn’t even budge. Or before that when it was fighting Ling. Every time it crashed into the ground during their fight, it’s body sunk into the dirt below it.

It has insane regenerative abilities that can basically heal it through any fatal injuries a dozen times if not more so over before it runs out of energy and can’t anymore. Though keep in mind this takes quite a bit of effort and will not be easy unless you have a way of destroying it’s whole body at once repeatedly (Similar to what Roy did). When this does finally happen though Envy goes back to his smaller parasitic like state. It’s powers are reduced to practically nothing, but it can choose to bite someone and take control of their body if it wishes.

Transformation: This is Envy’s most obvious and most used ability. Envy can essentially transform into or become practically anything it wants. But it can also pick and choose what parts of it’s body it wants to transform. It doesn’t have to change it’s entire appearance all at once. It can change it’s arm, it’s leg, etc. When it chooses to it can go into it’s large beast like form. This seems to increase it’s strength and gives it the power to easily overwhelm foes it might not have been able to otherwise.

Mental

Despite some of Envy’s more obnoxious behavior it’s actually pretty level headed when it wants to be. Or at the very least more level headed than say Gluttony as Envy and Lust are usually the voices of reason for the creature. It also can work with it’s enemies when the situation proves most logical to do so, or when it’s going to benefit it in some way. Like when it didn’t mind working together with Ling and Ed to get out of Gluttony’s stomach.

Over the insanely long time that it’s been alive, Envy has become a master impersonator. This allows it to use it’s abilities to their fullest, and can impersonate people down to a tee. In fact, the only time people are able to tell the difference is when Envy itself makes slight miscalculations to the person’s appearance (Hughes knew it was an imposter because Ross had a mole), someone manages to trick it into think they know it’s a fake (Ryza) or someone can sense the presence of Homunculi (Ling and Ran Fan). Even people who have known the person for years wouldn’t be able to tell the difference out right.

Envy doesn’t mind playing off, or manipulating the emotions of other to get the kind of reaction, or outcome that it desires. It tells numerous lies throughout the series and will trick anyone to get what it wants, even children.

Although it’s not the smartest homunculi, Envy does have it’s moments of wisdom. Like when it can plainly see that Ed only wants to see the souls that’s been fused into a Philosopher stone as human because of his brother. He goes on to tell him that he has to use logic to decide what a human is, and not emotions. In addition, when it was battling Mustang in the anime the colonel has to explain to it that he has pinpoint accuracy with one of his hands while the other is for the more explosive attacks. However, in the manga Envy figured this out for itself.

Because Envy’s abilities require it to know exactly how a target looks, it’s not far fetched to say that Envy has an incredible photographic memory.

Emotional

It’s confident in itself and it’s abilities. Maybe perhaps even a little overconfident at times, but regardless this can be considered a strength, as it rarely seems to second guess itself or it’s actions until after the consequences (if any) comes forth.

Envy doesn’t appear to show any remorse or compassion for the humans it kill, and will result to whatever cheap tactics it can in order to win a fight. It doesn’t care if it has to impersonate a close friend, a family member, or any other loved one it can think of. If it thinks it will create an opening it will use it.

Although you wouldn’t expect it, Envy even has a sense of loyalty. Though this personality trait really doesn’t seem to extend to anyone but probably Gluttony, Lust, and obviously Father. The last being a given considering all the homunculi are loyal to him (Outside of Greed but that’s a different story).
