Name: Christ Lightfellow Fandom: Suikoden (III) Gender: Female Age: 22 Time Period: Post game. Wing Color: Smoke Gray History: I have not lived long enough to become a myth. She bears the true fire rune. Since the article basically stops after the third chapter, I’ll expand on it.
After Chris agrees to take The True Fire Rune, Chris, Hugo, and Geddoe take on The True Fire Reincarnation as a test. After receiving the true fire rune, the group is attacked by the destroyers. The spirit of the last Flame Champion appears and stops Luc from taking the rune.
After the incident, Chris wakes up in Chisha Village, where the Harmonia army had begun its invasion. Chris and Salome attempt but fail to gain the trust of the Grassland armies. The divided armies face defeat at the hands of Harmonia, and the pattern repeats at Duck Village. The army is forced to retreat to Brass Castle, where Caesar Silverberg is named official strategist, and Chris decides it is time to accept on the role of Flame Champion. She gives a speech, which rallies the spirits of all the troops, and the Grasslands chiefs agree to unite with the knights under the banner of the new Flame Champion. The Fire Bringer army claims their first victory in the next battle. Soon thereafter, the headquarters moves to Budehuc castle.
It is not long after that Chris sees Jimba entering the ancient highway, and she follows him. She spots the destroyers at the entrance of the Sindar ruins in there; they’ve finally managed to open the door. Eventually, she takes on Sarah. After, The True Water Rune goes out of control, and when she finds the rune, she discovers a dying Jimba. Jimba asks Chris to go into the rune, where Chris meets the spirit of the rune, and she learns Jimba is really Wyatt Lightfellow, her father. Upon exiting Chris says her good-bye, and the rune is given to Hugo.
Chris is called back to Brass Castle to take care of some paper work for the council, and there Sarah, under the guise of Yumi, tricks Chris to following her. Sarah takes Chris’s true rune. The real Alma Kinan finds Chris in the forest, and will join the Fire Bringer army. They return to Brass Castle, and soon thereafter a battle with Yuber commences. During the battle, Sasarai announces that Harmonia is joining the cause, after Luc’s betrayal to Harmonia.
As the Fire Bringer army sits around debating where they could be holding the ritual, Nash comes with the information. Once Caesar confirms from whom, the army leaves for the site. Caesar accompanies Chris and her group to obtain the true fire rune. When they make it the pedestal, surprisingly it is free from monsters. Albert Silverberg comes forwards and tells Chris and Caesar of his schemes, and leaves them to finish the rest.
It is soon after the rest of the true rune bearers return, and they move on towards Luc. When they find him, he attempts to persuade Chris to join his cause. Even showing her the future that he is trying to prevent, but she does not budge in her position. Even if it is a possibility, it is not worth the sacrifice. The wind reincarnation appears, and the group defeats it, thus ending the war. Following the war, Chris and the knights return to Brass Castle.
[Fannon note: Chris is taken from the game, but I am borrowing very lightly from the manga for her experience at the Zexen Recruit Academy. Where she faced challenges because of her gender, but rose above it, and went to graduate at the top of her class, in three years. In turn, she becomes Galahad’s squire.]
