A SPECIAL NOTE, PLEASE READ: Due to Luceti entering the end of its plot, officially (DETAILS HERE), applications are open all the time. If we receive a sudden inexplicable spike in apps this might change, but that is unexpected.

Previously played characters can return for the endgame using the basic application at the bottom of the post. We will allow canon-updates of characters using the same application, just label the app appropriately.

PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE APPLYING! Especially the last few, as they establish what characters can or cannot be accepted.

The old application posts can be found on Livejournal, using the Applications tag.

Here's the application. Copy and paste the text box info into a comment and fill it out. You must apply with the following format, otherwise your application will not be accepted.

Confused? HERE is a quick explanation of how to fill out our fandom applications.

Confused? HERE is a quick explanation of how to fill out our OC applications.

You may link to threads on the [community profile] trainingwings community for your first person samples, as long as the thread in question is no older than three months. The thread or post must still have at least ten lines of dialog from your character to be considered.

HERE is a word-counting tool to check your 3rd person samples.

If a mod does not accept your app right away, please be patient. We all have our own personal and busy lives to attend to, and there might be a period of time when it might take us days to get to the applications. There is also the possibility that we do not know the canon you are applying for, and we need time to study it. So please be patient and we will work as fast as we can to get you an answer. If it has been a week with no word, please feel free to message Akai (guynophobic) or Kath (so moe you died) on AIM, or email them at their respective email addresses found in the [community profile] luceti profile page or here at the Resource/Link Directory.

Note: Applications are not always processed in the order they are received, due to the way they are divvied up between the moderators. If your application has been skipped, do not fret. Another mod will be getting to it soon enough. Additionally, you now have ONE WEEK to complete revision requests and Q&A's. You will be reminded of this deadline three days before it's up. After that week has passed, your application will no longer be considered for the current round. We apologize, but please be patient with us!

A note for applying here on Dreamwidth: Due to the character count limit being higher on DW, it might be tempting to toss the whole thing in one comment and leave it. However, we ask that you split the application up into at least two comments- the first containing your player information and (if you want) basic character info, the rest in another comment (or more, if you wish). This is to avoid having entire applications spanning the page and making it huge.

Splitting them up will make it easier for mods to process the applications. Thank you!

As noted above, if you are either:
a) a previous/current player bringing back a character played here before
b) a current player with a current character wanting to canon-update

Here is the short-form application you can use.

1) The character must have been played in Luceti BY YOU at some time in the past.
2) The character must not currently be played by anyone else.
3) The application must be accepted by a mod as per usual before the character can ICly return to the game.

If you have questions about this app (it's very much a beta right now, this is the first time we've done this!) please use the contact methods above.

Gender: female
Age: presumed to be 1000 years old

Canon Point: Post-Episode 5
Canon Point Explanation: The end of Episode 5 is a 'changing of the guard' where Beatrice's power as the Endless Witch shifts to Battler as he becomes the Endless Sorcerer. It is also the time when the Stakes of Purgatory are upgraded from ritual-class Furniture to weapon-class Furniture, creating a natural point to take her from.

As one of the Seven Sister of Purgatory, Mammon represents the sin of greed. As such, she embodies those traits. Greed is not just a desire for material wealthy, but also represents ambition, a thirst for knowledge and holding onto relationships of any sort. Mammon is the most emotionally honest of the stakes when it comes to the way she feels and reacts to things. Because of this, she tends to be on the rude side, speaking her mind when she believes it will get her the result she wants, disregarding protocol when it suits her. She is quick to act, taking advantage of anything presented to her, and will do anything to achieve what she desires.

When it comes to her masters, both Beatrice and Ange, she never holds back on the amount of effort she puts into the orders she is given. She believes very much in hard work and constantly pushed Ange to strengthen her magic so she could summon all seven sisters. Mammon wants to have the strongest, greatest master possible. That does not mean that Mammon is bereft of a cruel side. She is, after all, Furniture specifically created for a sacrifice ritual. She takes pleasure in 'playing' with Battler and doing her duty in the resurrection ceremony, indulging in the emotions the murders invoke.

When Ange demanded the stakes kill her classmates, they were unable to comply because Ange's magic power was not strong enough for her to carry the deed out. When Mammon was the only one left after Ange had denied the existence of them all, Ange demanded that Mammon, her friend, carry it out, Mammon did not just try to calm Ange down and avoid destruction as her sisters had. Mammon told Ange that if she bloodied her own hands by taking the stake that Mammon was and plunged it into her classmates herself, she would do anything for her. Yet, Ange was unable to do that and denied Mammon's existence. Mammon's last act before she was erased was to sarcastically point out that there was no greater honor for Furniture than to be used as a target for its master's anger, that she was Ange's first friend and would be her last friend.

When it comes to her relationship with her sisters, Mammon tends to be the instigator for conflict between the sisters, relishing in the emotions stirred up and the tidbits of knowledge revealed. She looks to bring out those raw emotions her sisters hide so they can all grow, be better furniture for their master, and to bring the sisters even closer through the course of resolving the conflict. She treasures her sisters and wants to increase their value and worth; the better Furniture they are, the longer the sisters will be together and active. She has a constant competition with her younger sister, Beelzebub, about which of them can do things first and is one of the ringleaders in teasing her elder sisters, Leviathan and Lucifer.

Physical: Mammon is not human – she is Furniture which is what servants of witches are called. Being one of the Seven Sisters of Purgatory, Mammon was created by Beatrice as an incarnation of the demon of Greed who oversees the Fifth Terrace of Purgatory. Initially created to be part of a set of ritual-type Furniture, Mammon was created to kill and so her abilities are specifically tailored for that.

She possesses a blade of light called a locus that she can summon at will. It is magical in nature and capable of holding up against any kind of blade or weapon that doesn't nullify magic. She also can float and hover in the air while in her human form, capable of passing through walls and doors as evidenced in many instances when hunting the servants at Rokkenjima or at Ange's school. Mammon is also able to teleport when either summoned by her master or sent out to take care of things. It's never stated in canon how extensive this ability is, just as it is never stated in canon how extensive her ability to be sensed only by those she wants herself to be. At Ange's school, the Sisters were visible by Ange but not her schoolmates, though they were more than aware of her schoolmates, watching them and commenting on their activities to Ange, something her classmates also could not hear.

Her true form is that of a stake. This is the form used to deal death itself. While in this form, Mammon's speed increases to the point that it's nearly impossible to track her movements and she can bounce off any surfaces in her way, allowing her to attack at unusual angles. She is capable of piercing magical barriers unless particularly strong, evidenced when the Stakes attacked Shannon's barrier and when Mammon tried to kill Ange upon her initial summon in Episode 4, stating had it been any other barrier, she would've passed right through it and killed Ange.

Also, as long as Mammon has a master to serve (Beatrice, Ange or Battler), she can be 'repaired' by their magic, essentially healing her of her wounds.

Mental: As the demon of Greed, Mammon is capable of sensing the greed anyone. Greed in Unimeko isn't just the desire and want for material things, but it also includes ambition and a thirst for knowledge. As Mammon is Furniture, she is incapable of betraying her master and is unable to be swayed to do so. That doesn't mean she's incapable of being manipulated, but if she sees benefit for her master, she's more than willing to reinterpret orders given to her to see it happen.

Mammon possesses the ability to use the Red Truth, which is a statement of complete truth that cannot be refuted as false. The speaker of the Red Truth does not have to provide proof that it is true. It simply is true (though open for interpretation as to HOW it is true) and no falsities or lies can be spoken as Red Truth. The words literally will not come out.

She also possesses the ability to use the Blue Truth, which is a statement of conjecture that could explain the Red Truth as a counter logic. The Blue Truth is assumed to be true unless directly refuted by the Red Truth or the Golden Truth. Mammon is unable to use the Golden Truth.

Please see this link and this link for wiki write-ups of the Red and Blue Truth.

Emotional: Being Furniture, Mammon is not influenced by a lot of human emotions. Love is something she doesn't understand, so she cannot be moved by love or displays of it. She is also a tool for murder/ritual sacrifice, so anything associated with murder and death does not phase her. In fact, she will often revel in it.

Physical: Being Furniture, a magical servant for a witch, Mammon is especially vulnerable to anti-magic weaponry. This includes things specifically made to nullify or weaken magic and also includes regular mundane guns. Such guns are considered anti-magic tools and is capable of 'killing' Mammon until her master repairs her. In Luceti, this will kill her like any other character, making it impossible for her master to repair her.

Mental: Mammon is the demon of Greed. As such, she is just as subject to the sin of Greed as much as she tries to instill it in others. At any time, one who is her master (Ange, Beatrice, Battler), can deny her access to both the Red Truth or the Blue Truth.

Emotional: Mammon is extremely loyal to those she considers a master and that loyalty can be used against her. Also, when her master doubts his/her own powers, Mammon suffers the same doubts. She also possesses a great fear of the voyager witches Bernkastel and Lambdadelta.

First Person:

I listen to you all sing the same song over and over and over. Oh, it's a pretty sweet song, hearing all that want and ambition drip off every single word. It's enough to make a girl blush and give the best dreams... if sleep was something I needed. By all means, keep trying. Maybe someday you will find the way home, find out how to bring it all down and be free. I certainly won't stop you.

But. [She pauses for dramatic effect.]

Think. Seriously think. Is there something here that means more to you than there? Do you possess something or someone here that you don't back in your own kakera? If the portal to your home and everything you were and was planning to be appeared right before you and only you could pass through it... would you take that step? Would you give up everything here to get back that which you once had?

Ah... Quite the quandary. Do entertain me by telling me how much you would. Don't worry. I can't tell if you're lying... much.

Third Person:

It was a strange place, this kakera Mammon had found herself in. Landing upon a very large stone table in the forest, she looked around. The area was overgrown and clearly hadn't been used for a while, but the actual purpose of it eluded her. Stone tables were generally used for sacrifices, but this one was so large. Did its maker sacrifice large animals or quantities of smaller beings at once? Or was it just something with a more boring, mundane purpose.

The Stake needed to spend some more time in the library. So many questions and so little answers. She wanted to know more, know why and how. Some of the others were helpful in feeding her thirst for knowledge, but not as many as she would like. The books... they would help. They always helped.

So strange – this land. With the questions, the machinations, manipulations and the missions--

Never mind, it wasn't that strange, now that she thought about it. She did have to give the territory lords credit for putting her on this side of the board. This was new and full of all sorts of possibilities. It was hard to decide if she wanted to play to win, as everything was a game of chess to her, or just let herself be moved as a piece on the board and see what happened. Both had potential to be entertaining and each rewarding in their own right. It was something she was going to have to think on.

Reaching over her shoulder to pluck a loose feather from her wings, she held it up to the sunlight and twirled it between her fingers. Gazing upon the red-tipped golden thing, Mammon's lips curled up and she looked around at the stone table and the clearing again. If no one was going to claim it, she would take it. If someone did claim it... Their loss; it was a good place to think.

And now it was hers.
